10 Year Sayreville To WS Commuter

I can not count the times where the bus was a complete no show or an hour or more late to pick me up from Battery Park. The service kept getting worse and worse and now I hear of the impendkng cancellation of service altogether. I always said “It was a matter of time.” Currently looking for employment in NJ so I do not have to deal with this nightmare of a bus company EVER again. Unfortunately, until then, I have to deal with dirty buses, selfish and passengers but thats ONLY if the bus decides to show up to take me home.

Take the train-Cancelled routes, no seat belts, buses overheating!

Port Authority to/from Holmdel, Lincroft, Cheesquakr NJ—buses are habitually late or leave BEFORE the scheduled time even with commuters running behind the buses screaming and waiving. Bus routes are cancelled at will with no notice. In fact Academy continues to post routes long after they are cancelled. Buses have no seat belts, often leak rain from the ceiling and overheat on the garden state—the owners, the Tedescos are as cheap as they come! Take the train!!

Overworked and underpaid

My condolences to the family of the 73 year old pedestrian struck by an academy bus. It's no surprise because academy bus operators are constantly being forced to work over their legal allotted hours to safely drive. When they refuse to jeopardize live by driving fatigue they are axed. Wayne Matthew is the worst manager ever. How many more tragedies are necessary before this no cdl terminal tyrant is held accountable?

Route 9 to Wall st service

Frequent almost daily delays. Full buses drive past. Lack of concern or responsiveness. This has been going on for years. Waited an hour today. This is at 5:40 in the morning. They never adapt . They have no plans to deal with broken busses or absent drivers. You just wait. They cut back during lulls, but do not compensate when ridership is high. The price went up annually for 15 years. While never improving service. If anything it is worse. Now Somebif the drivers are ok. Most are moribund. Death is in their eyes. The company sets up for failur e and for these poor saps to be abused by angry riders. They contribute to the decline of civilization. They have the opportunity to provide a great and needed service. Since they have no competition for this route they don’t bother.

Driver route training

Taking 6:03 bus from central New Jersey route 108. Driver has no clue where she was going blew right past NJ Turnpike entrance. Lost 25 minutes with her trying to figure out how to Go and then she turned this around in the Middle of the atreeet crosswind double Lines. Wtf

Jackson NJ Service Issues

On Thursday, Oct. 11th, Jackson to Midtown 550am bus never shows up. Now this morning, 525 Jackson to Midtown bus doesn't show up. When the 550am bus shows up it fills up with all the people from the 525 and I'm waiting again. Instead i jump on the 6am Downtown and decide to work from our Downtown office. I get the 515 Jackson from Downtown home which turns out to be a combo bus now with Gordons Corner. Just finally pulling into Jackson Park and Ride now at 736pm. Crazy bad service!!!

The 10:45 bus is 10 minutes late just to pullout to the first light and breakdown ..this is ridiculous and happens often....reasons why you are losing customers to greyhound

Beware of Academy Bus service from Staten Island. I had the unfortunate opportunity to ride BUS 1901 on 08/03/2018, and witnessed the bus operator falling asleep at the wheel.

I could not believe what was happening, and was in fear for my life. There was another passenger who witnessed the operator nodding out, and yelled to him.

I will be notifying the Police in Staten Island about this incident. This could have resulted in a terrible event, if not for the passengers who continually yelled out to the driver to wake up.

I will NEVER EVER take an Academy Bus again. I will spread the word about the operator of bus 1901 on 08/03/2018.

I left an umbrella on one of your busses

On Sunday August 5,2018 I was travelling from Greenport to 42nd Street on one of your busses c/o Hampton Jitney. I left a large orange and grey Nautica umbrella on the 5:50pm bus. It was left in the first overhead compartment on the right. I called Hampton Jitney they promise to check ot out and get back intouch with me I heard nothing from them so I am contacting you direct. Driver shook his head

At fairway lane on route 9 I’m standing and waving my hand. The driver of bus 8598 literally shakes his head no and drives on. Plenty of empty seats.

Consumer fraud

Pathetic! $400 per month for a bus that is grossly late more often than it's on time. The roofs of the buses leak when it rains. Academy's schedule is a joke and they don't keep to it. Customers continue to make countless complaints for several months and Academy's "service" (if you can call it that) just gets worse. Take the train!

I'm beyond annoyed at the Academy. Not only are the tickets expensive but they provide HORRIBLE service to their customers. How can you cancel a connecting bus leaving passengers hopeless and scrambling to find alternatives to get to their destination. THIS IS UNFAIR!

Most unsafe and ridiculous bus service ever

I can go on and make a long list about how horrible this bus service is. From their old filthy stinky buses to the most rash drivers, I can go on. If there was any other option in my township I would be the happiest person but since I do not have that single option of taking an alternative public transportation to work I have to go through their atrocities every single day. This bus line should be banned or taken over by a more reasonable and decent company who knows how to not put peoples life into jeopardy and danger.
